Tax returns for the year 22/23 can be filed from 06.04.23. There were a lot of delays last year (21/22) mainly due to people forgetting to report the SEISS grants they had received during the Covid pandemic. However, this year there do not seem to be any delays. However, HMRC do seem to be carrying out more random checks than previous years which can cause long delays for the individuals this affects.
